Sorry I’ve been MIA for so long. But exciting-ness! Matt and I got engaged last week. ^_^ His family got us a vacation to Temecula wine country for our Christmas gift, and he proposed on our first night.

Nope, not fraternization. But if the enlisted person was under your command, you/they might come under scrutiny. Kind of like how if you’re a high school teacher and date a former student right after they graduate. Looks fishy, eh?
As an aside, totally curious who this is. If you’re wondering about my specific situation with Matt being an officer and my going in enlisted, we checked with JAG. Have an email saying that since he’s NG and our relationship can be proved to have started out solely due to civilian interaction, it’s fine (if he were active duty, it’d be an issue. We’d have to get married before I enlist).
